NWAMC Founder:
“There are many phrases out there that I’ve heard over the years. “Deep well of talent”, “hidden gem”; and while true, I’ve always considered the Northwest Arkansas Music scene and industry as an ever-weaving tapestry.
Finely interlaced, threads made of the finest silks in the most brilliant colors. Some strings spun into gold, silver, platinum, some in deep shades of blues, each one sewn in as valuable as the last. Sometimes those fibers are disrupted and pulled out of the picture too soon, the hole they leave never quite filled in by the same string, but new ones are inserted and added to the music-scape, making a new, bright and vibrant image to take in that always leaves the viewers wanting more.
That’s been my experience with Northwest Arkansas and the Musicians Connections I’ve made.
It’s always been my vision to honor these connections that helped build so many careers in music and entertainment, and that are absolutely critical for “success” in a world that has so many different definitions for the word.
Success could be defined as being able to do what you love to do every day, or having a million followers on social media, making enough money to say you have a “real job” in the music industry. But the real success of a community is the celebration of each other, being able to preserve the history of those that blazed the trails before us and recognize and trust the potential for the future. To be sustainable within your own environment and knowing that it takes the entire community working together to
do so.
It is with that in mind that I announce The NWArkansas Music Hall of Fame and Musicians
Health & Wellness Fund.”
NWAMC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization; Our Mission is to educate, provide employment opportunities and emergency medical assistance funding for NWA musicians and industry workers in need.
