We are 100% volunteer supported.
Our mission is to support NORTHWEST ARKANSAS MUSICIANS & MUSIC INDUSTRY WORKERS:
Connecting local, regional, and national artists and the venues that showcase their talent across entertainment districts in Fayetteville, Springdale, Lowell, Johnson, Rogers, Bentonville, Siloam Springs, Eureka Springs, Bella Vista, and other surrounding areas. We believe in supporting the rich and diverse music scene that has been carefully curated in NWArkansas. $100,000 in 2024 For musicians in Emergent Need
Music is our mental health
Music is how we Celebrate
Music is how we Grieve
Music is how we, as musicians, communicate
a wide variety of emotions
Music is how we connect
Our Northwest Arkansas area music community is so very responsive when it comes to encircling another community member in times of need. We, quite literally, band together to create a unique shelter to share those emotions that we humans experience. Concerts, benefits, fundraisers, auctions, donated time and talent; all fall under that shelter.
Northwest Arkansas has become a hub for musical entertainment on an international level, bringing in billions of dollars in revenue to local venues and towns, but we are still seeing self-employed musicians struggle with a basic “minimum wage,
little to no affordable healthcare,
no life insurance,
no plan for emergencies.
At NWAMC, we believe that music is mental health, and the health and wellbeing of our area musicians should be preserved and promoted.
